After taking a long break from the music scene Sam Gibbons aka BackRoomSounds is back having fun in the studio in 2012. After having a new son, family life and regular work commitments finding time for music has been difficult in recent years for Sam.

 

Remembered most for releases on Device and Soulfuric Deep Records and as part of P-Funkateers Sam’s work is know for lots of real instruments and great musicianship. Listing very varied influences from Louis Amstrong to Chet Atkins, Radiohead to Joey Beltram, Stevie Wonder to Jimmy Smith, Chic to Bob James, MAW to UBP ! This time around BackRoomSounds will try to feature more vocals and songs something in short supply in the funkier side of House these days.
